The First Unit of the Anti-Money Laundering Authority
\nActivities conducted a significant number of investigations into money laundering
\ncriminal activities as a result of possible commission of various financial and non-financial
\nnature of crimes through the abusive exploitation of the License program
\nInvestor Residence (hereafter ADE).
\nThe investigations led to the identification of specific abusive methodologies
\nexploitation of the ADE programs. In addition, suspicious cash flows were identified,
\nindications and typologies that point to money laundering
\nactivities.
\nAn important part of this research is the recording, for the first time by
\nimplementation of ADE programs, risk indicators that can help
\nin the identification of similar cases by the involved Authorities & the liable persons
\nof Law 4557\/2018.
\nFinally, certain weaknesses of the system are identified and recorded, which
\nthey can be a springboard for further armoring the current one
\nlegislation with the inclusion of additional specifications and safeguards for the
\nacquisition of AED, as well as the more effective coordination of co-authors
\nbodies to prevent and prevent cases of abusive exploitation
